Course Contents

• Knowledge of the ways in which culture, socio-economic background, behavior, health and illness are interconnected

• To help students understand the basic concepts of health and health services.

• To equip students with the ability of critical and interdisciplinary analysis of individual functions of health systems.

• An understanding of the main positions and perceptions about the role of modern health systems and the environment.

• Deepening procedures benchmarking individual health systems.

• Analysis of problems facing health systems, particularly the Greek National Health System Greek / Cyprus (Ge.S.Y.).

• Understanding the concepts of efficiency and effectiveness of health services and the corresponding indicators

• The development of appropriate knowledge and skills for the creation, development and management tools for evaluation of health services.

• Deepening joint assessment methodologies using innovative assessment tools at both national and international level.

Learning Outcomes of the course unit

By the end of the course, the students should be able to:

1. Have developed their knowledge of health policy in order to be able to evaluate specific choices from a broader political, economic and social environment.

2. Distinguish the main categories of health systems in the developed world

3. Identify common trends and common problems that health systems developed countries face

4. Analyze the social relations of power and authority and how impact in advancing reforms in the health system

5. Understand the complexity and the key components of the health system

6. They approach critically the key features of health systems, both from the perspective of the public and the free market

7. Understand and analyze the importance of the evaluation of health services

8. Describe the steps in the field of health and recognize national-international assessment tools

9. Know the technical methodology to develop an effective evaluation model to health services

10. Develop knowledge and skills in the design and implementation of specific assessment tools of health services.

Διαδικασία Εγγραφής

Α) Κριτήρια Εισδοχής Απαιτούμενα δικαιολογητικά:

• Επίσημα επικυρωμένα πιστοποιητικά ακαδημαϊκών προσόντων (πτυχίο ΤΕΙ/ΑΕΙ ή πανεπιστημιακός τίτλος εξωτερικού αναγνωρισμένος από ΔΟΑΤΑΠ, με αναλυτική βαθμολογία).

• Επικυρωμένο Απολυτήριο Λυκείου.

• Επικυρωμένο Αντίγραφο Ταυτότητας.

• Δύο (2) φωτογραφίες ταυτότητας.

• Αποδεικτικά στοιχεία γνώσης της Αγγλικής γλώσσας (αν απαιτείται).

• Μία (1) συστατική επιστολή (Πρότυπο)

• Έκθεση ερευνητικών ενδιαφερόντων (Οδηγίες)

• Αίτηση

Β) Προεγγραφή

• Ο/Η ενδιαφερόμενος συμπληρώνει την αίτηση και επισυνάπτει τα απαραίτητα δικαιολογητικά και τα αποστέλλει στο πιστοποιημένο συνεργαζόμενο κέντρο «Εξέλιξη»

• Το κέντρο «Εξέλιξη» αναλαμβάνει την διαδικασία προεγγραφής του ενδιαφερόμενου με τον έλεγχο και την αποστολή των δικαιολογητικών στο Πανεπιστήμιο.

• Το πανεπιστήμιο αξιολογεί την αίτηση και αποστέλλει αποδοχή ή μη της αίτησης εγγραφής.

Γ) Εγγραφή

Σε περίπτωση που το πανεπιστήμιο αποδεχτεί το φοιτητή αυτός καλείται να πραγματοποιήσει την κατάθεση της 1^ης δόσης (Προκαταβολή) των διδάκτρων. Ακολούθως στο φοιτητή αποστέλλονται όλα τα σχετικά στοιχεία και πληροφορίες για να ξεκινήσει η φοίτηση.
